BaseLang are an online tutoring service that offer unlimited lessons for $129.00 a month. This is truly unlimited, no restrictions. You can book as little as a 30 minute lesson or more in succession if you want a longer lesson.

Most of the tutors are from Venezuela and they have a lesson plan geared to get you conversational in as fast a time as possible. You are also free to use your own or just have conversations. They even have mouth exercises to get your double R’s on point.

Lessons are booked up to 2 days in advance and, if the tutor is available, you can book a slot. There is normally availability for the same day too although you may not be able to book your usual Baselang tutor if they are busy.

This is not a problem though as, at the end of each lesson, they write extensive notes for your next tutor so everyone always knows where you are. Some tutors are better than others but they are all very friendly and fun to talk to.

You can schedule in 30 minute increments but I have found that blocks of an hour have felt more helpful.

You’re at the mercy of Venezuelan internet so sometimes Skype goes out (or you need to drop your own video feed to increase call quality) but they are an absolute joy to work with.

I wish there was a Baseline for every language
Baselang review by Karin Rush on 02/11/2018
I have taken over 20 classes from several Baselang teachers. They have all been very helpful and very good teachers. At 129/month it is a great price for unlimited sessions. I highly recommend if you want to propel your skills quickly. I can't recommend this site enough. My goal is to be able to speak to native speakers. The best way I know how is to speak and listen in that language. Even tho most of the teachers are from Venezuela they have been very helpful with the Mexican Spanish I wasn't to concentrate on.
Baselang has some FREE resources
Baselang review by Patricia on 08/04/2016
I'll admit that I haven't tried Baselang's tutoring yet but it is on my to-do list. I did want to share two things about Baselang that I found impressive:

1. Connor answers all of his own email. So when you get an email from him asking a general question like "What's your biggest struggle in Spanish?" it's not just a promotional gimmick. He's reading and responding to those emails.
2. Baselang has some free resources. Check out their blog (https://baselang.com/blog/) for some free videos with practice exercises. Sign up for the Shortcut to Conversational. You'll get only a handful of emails but they're worthwhile reading and there is a small, free pronunciation course that is worth working your way through.
My favorite tutors

I will admit, at first I was hesitant to pay another $99 for Spanish sessions. I was already paying different ITalki tutors per lesson, and I didn't want to keep paying more. I signed up anyway because the unlimited classes was just too good to refuse. I am so glad I did! There are a ton of tutors to choose from, and with different schedules, so you can always find someone available to speak at anytime of the day (Western hemisphere at least). I have found two tutors that I am most comfortable with and we just have conversations. Since beginning with Baseline, my Spanish has improved tremendously! My tutors have also become more like friends, and I love speaking with them!
Best Spanish Resource
Baselang review by SeaSongJac on 08/01/2016
I have only recently begun learning Spanish, but Baselang is Awesome! I was only able to afford the trial week, but I'm already looking forward to when I can afford a subscription. The teachers are very knowledgeable and are able to keep the conversation going in Spanish, even if you're not very advanced. Normally when I talk with people and can't think of the words, the conversation drifts back to English. This week of lessons enabled me to have enough Spanish so that I could converse with Spanish speaking guests where I work.
Fantastic Service At A Very Reasonable Price
Baselang review by garymccann on 06/20/2016
BaseLang is amazing. I am currently taking 1-2 lessons a day.

The service allows you to book lessons up to 2 days in advance and there is always plenty of availability even for the same day. They offer the first week for $1 so you can try it without risk. Each tutor writes extensive notes so that, if you use more than one, the next can pick up where the last tutor left off.

The first lesson is a discussion around your goals and level so that they can understand where you are and put together a lesson plan. There is also a BaseLang Memrise course that you get access to to help you memorise all of the Vocab.

As mentioned in the post, all of the tutors are from Venezuela but this is not an issue. The internet connection seems quite stable and the tutors themselves are absolutely lovely.

I can't rate BaseLang enough. This is the singlular best resource I am using to learn Spanish.
Amazing Teachers!

The teacher on here are amazing. The first lesson is a "get to know you and your goals" session and then it's onwards and upwards from there!
The best choice I’ve made so far
